O objectivo de investimento da carteira é de crescimento de longo prazo do capital através do investimento em uma carteira de valores mobiliários de empresas japonesas que estão determinados a ser subavaliada pelo Gestor de Investimentos. Uma "empresa japonesa " é uma empresa que (i) é domiciliada ou organizada no Japão, ou (ii) é estabelecida e que realiza negócios no Japão ou (iii) realiza a maior parte de sua actividade económica no Japão. Sob condições normais de mercado, a carteira investirá em uma carteira de aproximadamente 40 a 50 empresas.

Biografia | Atsushi Horikawa was appointed Director of Research of Japan Value Equities in 2013 (title changed to Portfolio Manager from March 2016). He served as codirector of research of Japan Value Equities from 2012 to 2013. Horikawa joined the firm in 2000 as a research analyst, and was named senior research analyst in 2002. His research experience includes coverage of financials, industrial commodities, capital equipment, consumer cyclicals and consumer staples.
